This leather is made by TEMPESTI, a vegetable tanning specialist located in Ponte a Egola in the Santa Croce area of Tuscany, Italy. We use the raw hides of adult cows raised in the cold regions of Scandinavian countries, including Denmark, which is known as the highest quality product. The skin, which originates from Northern Europe, is fine-grained and has a high oil and fat content, so it is characterized by both excellent durability and beautiful appearance. In consideration of environmental protection, the tanning agent used is made from surplus wood used in the manufacture of furniture and paper. The appropriate amount of oil and fat added makes it lightweight, supple, and flexible, but the original tension and stiffness of tanned leather remains, giving it an exquisite texture. It has a natural and transparent dye that is difficult to reproduce with tanned leather, allowing you to enjoy both the beautiful color and the original atmosphere of the leather. The leather is treated with white wax to give it a light, soft, vintage feel. The wax on the surface creates a unique touch, and as you use it, the wax will come off due to friction, and as it sinks into the leather, you can enjoy the change over time to a transparent candy-colored product. . If you apply too much cream or the like, the wax on the surface may come off and the texture may deteriorate.
