An espresso pack screen is a metal filter that is placed on top of the tamped powder during espresso extraction.
This pack screen distributes water evenly, has good filtration effect, promotes extraction, and helps you make delicious and mellow espresso. If you look at the coffee cake (the powder after espresso extraction), it will come together in a nice clump and there will be less uneven color.
0.7mm thick — Unlike paper, this espresso puck screen is strong, durable and reusable to improve water distribution.
We recommend brewing at a higher water temperature (2-4°C) as passing through the espresso pack screen can drop the temperature by about 2°C. Also, if the resulting intensity and richness is low (but not more than 3-4 °C), the temperature can be increased by an additional 2 °C.
Please check the size of your portafilter before purchasing. As with tampers, there will be a slight gap because the plate will not be able to be removed if it is made snug.
