Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, is a proven, multi-faceted active ingredient that provides numerous benefits to the skin.
Niacinamide helps regulate visible sebum secretion and the production of key skin components that play an important role in the functional and structural integrity of the skin.
The Ordinary's 100% Niacinamide Powder is a product that delivers
niacinamide directly to the skin, targeting uneven skin texture, enlarged
pores, and shine. This powder offers a “DIY” method that allows users to
use the product in a variety of ways to suit their individual preferences.
Compared to the niacinamide 10% + zinc 1% product, this powder is a
multipurpose product that helps solve the user's complex skin problems at
once by mixing it with other non-conflicting products like peptide serum.

In its purest form, niacinamide is highly soluble in water and readily
dissolves in water-based products such as serums and creams. The
Ordinary's 100% Niacinamide Powder can be mixed with any water-based
treatment with a pH between 5.0 and 7.0 without conflicting ingredients.
When it comes to choosing a water-based product to mix with this
formula, The Ordinary brand has several options. These products
include:
Hyaluronic acid 2% + B5
Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA
“Buffet” + Copper Peptides 1%
Matrixyl 10% + HA
Argireline Solution 10% When looking at the powder format of a product, you may wonder how much niacinamide will be in the final mixture. From a theoretical perspective, if 1/4 teaspoon of powder contains approximately 0.05 g of niacinamide, then when mixed with four drops of the selected product, the final mixture is estimated to have a niacinamide concentration
of 10-15%.
Guideline:
When using this formula, mix about 1/4 tablespoon with other water-based
treatments in the palm of your hand and apply to the face in the morning or
evening. Avoid contact with your eyes, and if it does, rinse thoroughly with
water. Please wash your hands after use. Do not mix with products with pH-5. Detailed mixing instructions can be found on the Deciem website.
If irritation occurs, wash off the product, stop using it, and seek medical
advice. Use only as directed on unbroken skin.
