Kenko Tokina, a long-standing filter manufacturer, released the ZX series in 2016. The ZX series features a "floating frame system," an innovative frame system that minimizes stress on the glass, achieving extremely high flatness.
The "ZX II Protector" is the ultimate lens protection filter, evolving the "floating frame system" to achieve even higher resolution.
Not only has the frame system been revamped, but the coating has also been updated. The newly developed "ZR01 (Zero One) Coat" achieves a surface reflectance of 0.1%.
The ZX II Protector adds nothing to the image quality, leaving the image untouched. It's like a filter that lets in light as it is, like air.

The "floating frame," which minimizes stress on the glass and fully utilizes the lens's inherent imaging power, has been further improved.
Glass distortion has been minimized, and precision polishing has achieved flatness and ultra-high resolution that surpass previous models.
■The newly developed ultra-low-reflection ZR01 Coat and high-transmittance optical glass achieve a surface reflectivity of 0.1%.
The ZX II Protector's lens coating uses the newly developed "ZR01 Coat," which achieves an ultra-low surface reflectivity of 0.1%.
It minimizes the drawbacks of filter-related flare and ghosting, which are common in night scenes, while protecting the lens and maximizing performance.
