The numerical indexes are printed with an aging process to give them a vintage feel.
It seems to be a reproduction of a military watch, so it is made with a small face and the original size. The part around the windshield that gets hit the most has a coin edge that makes scratches less visible. By applying a "coin edge" to the bezel, it also has the effect of suppressing light reflection and making it easier to see the time inside the dial.
The belt is a green nylon NATO strap.
This is a reprint of the pilot navigation watch TYPE A-17. The original is an improved version of TYPE-16 and has been issued since the 1950s. Around this time, the development of aircraft led to the appearance of all-weather fighter planes that could take off at night or in the rain, and from around this time pilot watches began to require a 24-hour display on their dials. The hours from 13:00 to 24:00 are printed inside the indexes (hours) from 1 to 12. The luminescent indexes from that time have discolored to an orange-brown color due to aging. There is also some peeling in places. This brings out the right vintage feel, and we have put a lot of effort into recreating it. This is the most popular model in the TYPE A series. The belt is a green nylon NATO strap.
