This plate is 1.5mm thick Laser cut stainless steel. It fits the Euro5 2.2L and 2.4L TDCi Transit (2011 - 2017). Will not fit the Euro6 2017 on. Fit's between the EGR valve and the cooler tube that come from the exhaust manifold (fitted on the right-hand rear). The plate is slotted to make it simpler to fit. The bolts just need to be loosened, the plate slipped in between the EGR valve and the existing gasket, then re-tightened.
It fits EURO 5 & 6 MK8 Transit
Also fits the 2.2L Euro5 Land Rovers
Benefits of blocking EGR
1. Cleaner engine oil helping to give longer engine Life
2. Turbo spooling up quicker, and at lower revs
3. Prevents soot build up in intake manifold, and valve's, which will lower the power
4. Smoother drive and quite often better economy
5 . Less smoke if the EGR valve is faulty (black smoke is a MOT failure)
6. Engine produces less soot, so the DPF stays cleaner for longer, so less regeneration and longer life
