They don't really work as a tie rod, especially if you then attach something to it. A tie rod can usually be pulled out and fixed by turning or something similar. These here have an internal thread, with which the rod can easily be turned long and short - but there is no possibility of fixing it at the desired length. Logically, the thread can then also slightly adjust itself due to vibrations - and the rod falls off. In addition, the heads on the rod ends are made of hard plastic, ie they slip off immediately on smooth walls (e.g. closets). Possibilities for attachment would be: silicone adhesive pads on the front sides (for very light loads), or you pull off the plastic heads from the rod ends, screw them to the wall opposite each other and then insert the rod. Fortunately, I have holes in the wall in the right places in my transporter, so the rods there work as curtain rods.😅 I would definitely not recommend it as a cloakroom rail, it is far too weak for that.

It took a very, very long time. I no longer believed that the rod would arrive. But it is of good quality and works
