Two bodhisattvas lightly raising one leg Kannon and Seishi, the two bodhisattvas, come with Amida Nyorai and lead those who are reborn to the Pure Land. The Amida Triad is an embodiment of the teachings of Pure Land Buddhism, and the Bodhisattva Kannon places his soul on a lotus stand and goes to paradise. Carrying it, Seishi Bodhisattva offers his palms to the soul. The models are two side samurai from Osaka's important cultural property ``Wooden Statue of Amida Nyorai and Both Side Samurai.'' The pose of the Bodhisattva with one leg raised is extremely rare and is a feature that can only be seen in these two statues. Coupled with the gesture of slightly tilting its head, the statue gives a light and joyful impression. We paid particular attention to the small differences between the two bodies, which look the same but are actually different, such as their facial expressions, crowns, and the grain of their clothes. The light and moving pose is emphasized, and the finish is done in a way that maintains the profound presence of the statues from the early Heian period.
