Once it falls off, wipe the surface of the suction cup clean, dry it and then reattach it.
Finally, turn the cap counterclockwise as far as you can, leave it empty for a few hours, then turn it counterclockwise again to check that a vacuum has been created.
Even if you think you have it all the way tightened, it's often not actually tight enough.
