While working as an artist, Pamela Colman Smith joined the magical society, the Order of the Golden Dawn, in 1903, and in 1909, under the guidance of Arthur Edward Waite, she designed one tarot card.
This tarot is the one that is widely used today and is called the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot.
The Art Nouveau-style illustrations of the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot are familiar and the allegorical images help to guide the story, making them loved by many tarot users around the world.
The deck consists of 78 cards in total: 22 cards called the Major Arcana and 56 cards called the Minor Arcana.
Each card has a card name and a serial number written on it.
The card is signed by Pamela Coleman Smith in the lower right corner.
