Product Introduction
This model is a 1/700 scale reproduction of the U.S. Navy nuclear-powered guided missile cruiser, USS Arkansas (CGN-41).
The finished length is approximately 250mm.
Choose between a full hull model, which reproduces the ship's bottom, or a surface model, which reproduces the ship from the waterline up.
The undercuts of the hull are faithfully recreated using slide molds, and the superstructure, including the bridge, is also reproduced in detail.
The main battery turrets, equipped with 5-inch Mk. 45 guns, as well as the Mk. 26 missile launchers and Mk. 141 Harpoon missile launchers, are also meticulously modeled.
Furthermore, the radar, recreated using etched parts, adds to the realistic finish.
This kit allows you to see for yourself the appearance of a nuclear-powered guided missile cruiser that operated during the Cold War.
Dragon also produces models of the Cold War-era guided missile cruiser U.S.S. Chicago and the U.S. Navy's first nuclear-powered warship, U.S.S. Long Beach, in the same scale.
It's fun to try building them together.
