The "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" series of Takeya-style free-standing ornaments, following the Tormekian Armored Soldier and Triuma, are soldiers who fight on the front lines of the powerful multi-ethnic nation [Doruk Union of Principalities], which has power rivaling that of the Tormekian Kingdom in the original comic.
They are skilled in guerilla warfare such as night attacks, and in the story, Kushana also regards them as excellent warriors.
Their appearances, with their ethnic mask-like helmets and miasma masks, give a sense of their unique culture and style. Takeya Takayuki has analyzed the original comics and color illustrations by Miyazaki Hayao to arrange the design of the Takeya-style free-standing ornaments, which are a mixture of indigenous ethnic styles and processing techniques inherited from advanced ancient civilizations.
Fujioka Yukio was in charge of the prototype production. The color scheme is subdued, but red and blue are boldly placed to emphasize the ethnic feel. At first glance, it is unclear whether the figures are fictional or real, but Takeya's sense of arrangement is highly compatible with the worldview of "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind".
The figure of the Doki soldier has a strong presence that conveys that even though they are ordinary soldiers, each and every one of them is a living human being.
